Collection / Video From the mid 1960´s to the early 1980´s GeorgeCup & Steve Eliott worked on different kind of experimental, structural and animated films. They took up and reinterpreted with the help of animated film the tradition of Oskar Fischinger, Hans Richter and other re- presentatives of the early abstract film: the interplay of movement and music and brought it to a new aspect of minimal art. The main work of that time: The conection between form and sound consists of twenty- six animated films which were created between 1974 and 1979 on 16 mm film in stop motion technic, and some where transformed to the then new VHS media for reasons of selling copys.
