30
screen projection # 12, 1976
In
1976 George Cup & Steve Elliott presented the installation
"30 screen projection # 12" at the Sidney Janis
Gallery in New York for the first time. The installation
displays a chorographie of 30 DIA-projetcors screening light
without slides on a black wooden board. This installation can be
seen as the link between the static oil paintings of the late
1950´s and the animation films of the late 1970´s. To work
with light in motion was the base of many experiments of George
Cup & Steve Elliott.
